Richard Cave

Talented musician, producer, composer, and arranger, best known as the co-founder, producer and lead vocalist of the renowned Haitian konpa band, Carimi.

Born and raised in Haiti, Richard developed a passion for music from an early age when he began his musical journey writing and producing for King Posse, “Konkou Chante Nwèl”, a national Television Christmas singing competition.

In the 2000s, after moving to the United States for his studies, Richard formed Carimi, with the goal of promoting Haitian music and culture worldwide.

Under his leadership, the band has released several successful albums, toured internationally, and collaborated with top artists. As a composer and arranger, Richard has been instrumental in shaping Carimi's unique sound, which blends traditional konpa with modern styles and influences.
